Opie Athwal, P.E. – Founder

Opie Athwal is a graduate of Pratt Institute and received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1974. He also completed a graduate program in Finance at Baruch College in 1981.

Opie Athwal has over 40 years of experience in the design and management of various types of projects. Projects types include: Educational, institutional, residential, commercial, (speculative and corporate), retail, correctional facilities, health care related / laboratories and high tech projects.

• Technical Committee on HVAC controls (TC1-4)
• Design Consultant for the American Institute of Architects
• Design Consultant for the U.S. Department of Energy
• Participant in the Tradeline Convention; received an award for presentation on “Decision Making on Lab HVAC and Fume Hoods”
